Sakiškės Brewery / Dūmų Brewery

Twenty kilometres from Vilnius, in the hamlet of Sakiškės, this brewery blazed the trail of Lithuanian craft: named the country's best brewery and best beer by RateBeer in 2016, and the first in Lithuania to brew with lactic acid when sours were still unknown to the local market. Its experimental register — mezcal-infused imperial blonde, coconut milk stout, passion fruit sours — is best tasted at the source, in the countryside taproom with more than twenty taps and a terrace, or via Dūmų Fabrikas, its sister brand in Vilnius. An easy brewing escape from the capital, between forest and steel tanks.
