Kerr's Farm Brewed Ales

On the arable farm of Rosemains, on the Preston Hall Estate, the Kerr family has been brewing since 2022 in the steading's old engine room. James, at the helm, digs into the archives of long-gone Scottish breweries to resurrect forgotten recipes — like Tartan Moggie, an 80 shilling based on a 1930s recipe — using Scottish barley grown as close as Fife and British hops. The entire range is vegan, cask included, and the fully electric brewery runs partly on solar power. Its Boadicea Ale earned a star at the Great Taste Awards.
