Cairngorm Brewery Co Ltd

Born in 2001 from the merger of the Aviemore and Tomintoul breweries — the latter brewing since 1993 in an 18th-century watermill — Cairngorm Brewery works in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, facing snow-capped summits. Its multi-award-winning classics, Trade Winds, Black Gold, Wildcat and the mischievous Sheepshaggers Gold, come in cask, keg and bottle, joined since 2016 by the beers of the Loch Ness brand. The refurbished shop now houses a tap room with tastings and sampling paddles, and the brewery supports the conservation of the Scottish wildcat, emblem of its Wildcat ale.
