Born Brewery

Born in 2011 from John Henderson's drive to diversify the family farm in the Borders, Born — first Scottish Borders Brewery, then Born in the Borders — is Scotland's original plough-to-pint brewery: the only one in the country to grow its barley, brew and package on a single site, with water from an artesian spring. Its Blonde, Amber and IPA speak of the neighbouring fields on the banks of the Teviot, while the Wild Harvest initiative folds in ingredients foraged from the Borders countryside. Its multi-award-winning cask ales reach the region's pubs, from the Ancrum Cross Keys to the bars of Edinburgh — a manifesto for the shortest of brewing supply chains.
