Barneys Beers Ltd

Andrew "Barney" Barnett, a Heriot-Watt-trained brewer, revived the Summerhall brewery in 2012 — in the former veterinary school turned Edinburgh arts centre, on a site where beer was already brewed in the 1800s. The only microbrewery in the city centre, Barney's produces small batches of natural, characterful ales: Good Ordinary Pale Ale, Red Rye and Volcano IPA, best enjoyed at the neighbouring Royal Dick Bar and in the capital's finest pubs. Guided tours, led by Barney himself, blend brewing with three centuries of Edinburgh brewing history.
