In the workshop district of Metamorfosi, north of Athens, Alea Brewing Co plays a double role that has become central to the capital's craft ecosystem: brewing its own rock-tempered ales — batches with names like Kids of the Black Hole and Kick Out the Scum — and lending its kettles to the nomad brewers who keep the Greek scene buzzing. This is where the Chloe Unity Lager, a permanent collaboration with Strange Brew, was born, and where many of the special brews that later surface in the bars of Psyrri, Exarchia and Koukaki come to life.
