Founded in 2016 in the old Blackness ironworks, in a neighbourhood once known as "Hell's Half Acre", 71 Brewing brought brewing back to Dundee after a fifty-year absence. This independent brewery has built its reputation on crisp, precise lagers inspired by European traditions, alongside hop-forward pale ales and bold seasonal releases. Its new CANVAS taproom, set in a red-brick hideaway on Ure Street, hosts gigs, exhibitions and tastings, while guided tours reveal the inner workings of one of the most awarded breweries on Scotland's east coast.
