Bolle di Malto 2026: Nine Days of Craft Beer in Biella

"Biella becomes Italy's craft-beer capital once again as Bolle di Malto returns for nine days of tastings, culture and music in the historic heart of the city. Running from 30 August to 7 September 2026, with the main Italian Beer Hall open from 3 to 7 September, the festival gathers around fifty Italian artisan breweries whose beers are poured across the squares and inside the dedicated hall. The opening keeps a beloved local ritual alive: a beer barrel is carried down from the Sanctuary of Oropa to the centre, followed by the first ceremonial tapping at the Baptistery and City Hall. Beyond the glass, more than one hundred events fill the programme, from meet-the-brewer sessions to live concerts, while some twenty food trucks from across Italy and a village of local associations round out the experience. Named best food-and-wine event in Italy in 2024, Bolle di Malto weaves together brewing, gastronomy and territory in a walkable urban setting that welcomes families and curious first-timers as much as seasoned enthusiasts. Access to the squares is free, with tokens for the tastings.
