Simonds Farsons Cisk plc

Founded in 1928 in Ħamrun, Simonds Farsons Cisk is the first brewery in Malta's history and remains the brewing giant of the archipelago today. Born from the merger of the Farsons, Simonds and Malta Export Brewery houses, it brews the country's emblematic beers from its Mrieħel site: Cisk lager, omnipresent in Maltese bars, and Hopleaf Pale Ale, a direct legacy of the English tradition brought by the British garrison. Housed in a modern production complex at the heart of the Central Business District, Farsons embodies nearly a century of Maltese industrial history and remains the essential starting point for any exploration of beer in Malta.
