Pöide Pruulikoda

Founded in 2013, Pöide Pruulikoda draws on the legends and long brewing history of Saaremaa, an island where almost every farm once brewed its own beer. Based in Kuressaare, the island capital watched over by its episcopal castle, the brewery translates that heritage into a modern craft language: aromatic IPAs, golden ales, stouts and seasonal brews, some nodding to juniper and other island ingredients. True to its motto, Pöide only guarantees its beers on the spot: to really taste them you must come to Saaremaa, between the castle walls, the Angla windmills and the wild coastline. An enthusiastic ambassador of the Estonian islands' brewing revival.
