Lervig

When the historic Tou brewery closed in 2003, Stavanger locals refused to let beer leave the city and founded Lervig. The turning point came in 2010 with American brewer Mike Murphy: a hard pivot to craft, and a meteoric rise. Massive imperial stouts like 3 Bean Stout, juicy NEIPAs like Tasty Juice, thirst-quenching pilsners, mixed-fermentation sours and barrel-aged specials — more than 200 beers developed, a spot among RateBeer's 100 best breweries in the world and exports to over 30 countries. Now Norway's largest independent craft brewery, Lervig remains rooted in Hillevåg, with a brewpub and production tours.
