Islay Ales Company Limited

On an island world-famous for its peaty single malts, Islay Ales has provided the brewing counterpoint since 2004. Born in converted farm buildings at Bridgend, Islay's only brewery moved in 2024 into a purpose-built home at Glenegedale, opposite the airport, with modern kit and on-site canning and kegging. The range converses with the terroir: hoppy IPAs, a German-style lager, a red rye — and of course the Islay Peated Stout, a smoky nod to the distilling neighbours. The visitor centre, tap room and view-blessed terrace host tastings and tours, and the beers pour in every bar and hotel on the island.
