About this brewery

In the fishing harbour of Isle of Whithorn, at the tip of the Machars peninsula, Scotland's most southerly brewery owes its name to the five kingdoms visible on a clear day: Scotland, England, Ireland, the Isle of Man and Wales. Founded in 2015 by Alastair Scoular, landlord of the Steam Packet Inn — the village's only pub, now the brewery tap — and Brendon Dennett, a brewer schooled at 6°North, Five Kingdoms brews honest, characterful ales, often dedicated to local figures, in cask, keg, bottle and can. Pre-booked tours and harbourside pints complete the stop, between Galloway Forest and St Ninian's chapel.
