Juleølfestivalen Bergen 2026

Bergen Ølfestival, the team behind the city's flagship beer festival, brings back its Christmas edition on Saturday 14 November 2026, when Norwegian breweries traditionally release their annual juleøl. The festival takes place at Sardinen, inside USF Verftet — a former sardine cannery on Georgernes Verft that has become one of Bergen's best-loved cultural venues, a short walk from the UNESCO-listed Bryggen wharf. Two capped sessions structure the day, 13:00–16:00 and 17:00–20:00, each limited to 300 visitors, so there is no all-day or festival pass. A small package (tasting glass, five tokens, entry ticket) costs NOK 425, and a large package (ten tokens) costs NOK 600; tickets are sold online only, in batches of up to six per session, and are neither exchangeable nor refundable once purchased. The minimum age is 18. Expect a rotating brewery line-up pouring the season's spiced, dark and barrel-aged Christmas beers alongside the usual craft staples. For visitors combining the tasting with a stroll through Bergen's wooden wharves and Christmas market, the timing could hardly be better: the festival lands in the middle of the city's advent season, when Bryggen's alleys are lit for the holidays.
