Pig's Ear Beer & Cider Festival 2026: 42nd edition at Hackney's Round Chapel (dates TBC)

01/12/2026 00:00 The Round Chapel, Powerscroft Road, Hackney, London E5 0PU

About this event

London's beer year traditionally closes in a church. The Pig's Ear Beer & Cider Festival, named after the Cockney rhyming slang for beer, is expected to return for its 42nd edition on 1-5 December 2026 at the Round Chapel in Hackney, a spectacular Grade II listed nonconformist chapel whose horseshoe galleries overlook the racking. Organised by the East London & City branch of CAMRA, the festival typically lines up well over a hundred cask ales, from one-off specials and festival collaborations to a dedicated East London bar celebrating Hackney's brewing renaissance, plus real ale in KeyKeg, artisan ciders and perries and a curated international bottle bar. Pies, cheese and pub games complete a formula that has barely changed in four decades, and proceeds support the Speaker of Hackney's chosen charities. Sessions usually run from noon until 11pm, Tuesday to Saturday, with CAMRA members enjoying discounted entry. Exact dates are pending confirmation. Check the official website for tickets and updates, and plan your beer trip with beBeer.
