Winter Warmer Wander 2026: Greater Manchester's winter ale trail (13 Nov – 28 Dec)

Rather than a festival under one roof, Greater Manchester stretches its winter beer celebration across six weeks and 65 pubs. The Winter Warmer Wander, run by volunteers of Stockport & South Manchester CAMRA with neighbouring branches and sponsored by Robinsons and its legendary Old Tom barley wine, returns from Friday 13 November to Monday 28 December 2026. The idea, born in 2006 as the Stout, Porter & Old Ale Trail: visit the participating pubs across Stockport, Manchester and Tameside, drink independently brewed stouts, porters, old ales and other winter warmers, and collect the stickers — 24, 36 or 65 of them unlock prizes, from collector clothing to cases of beer. Open to everyone, CAMRA member or not, it is the most convivial way to get through December: one cosy pub after another, right up to the final days of the year.
