Kefalonian Beer

The Microbrewery of Kefalonia and Ithaca claims the most Homeric of territories: two islands, that of Mount Ainos and Myrtos beach on one side, that of Odysseus' kingdom on the other. Its fresh beers, brewed for local drinking, slip into the tavernas of Argostoli and Fiskardo as well as the lanes of Vathy, offering an island alternative to the mainland's industrial lagers. For visitors, spotting them on a menu is already a small treasure hunt — and drinking them facing the Ithaca channel, after a swim at Antisamos or a visit to the Melissani cave, is the simplest way of drinking the landscape itself.
