Cervesa Alpha Andorra

Founded in 2011 by Antoni Medina, Cervesa Alpha is the first craft brewery in Andorra's history. Housed in Borda Callisa, an old mountain barn at Mas de Ribafeta in Arinsal, it claims exceptionally pure Pyrenean water as the signature of its beers, including a series dedicated to the country's seven parishes. On site, the small taproom above the brewhouse offers tastings, beer pairings, guided tours and brewing workshops in a family atmosphere that has earned a cult following among visitors. Drinking an Alpha, its founders say, is drinking a piece of the Andorran landscape: it is hard to sum up this pioneering microbrewery any better than that.
