About this brewery

Founded in 2020 in the cellar of schoolteachers Jean-Marc Taymans and Anne Froidcœur, Brasserie La Fluviation is the first fully home-grown brewery in Braine-l'Alleud since Belgium's craft-beer revival. Its name comes from "fluviation", the slow work of rivers shaping a landscape — a nod to the nearby La Vau stream and the Mont-Saint-Pont aqueduct. The family's own hop garden, homegrown raspberries and foraged elderflower feed a range running from a peppery Saison to fruit beers named in Walloon dialect: Méandre, Sinuosité, Rivages, Aqueduc, Clapotis. Brewed and bottled entirely on site, this nanobrewery welcomes visitors by appointment.
