About this event
"Winter's grim. Our beer festival isn't." That is the slogan of Manchester's Winter Beer Fest, and it says it all. Born in 2018 under the railway arches of street-food collective GRUB, the festival has become a January institution and now lives at Fairfield Social Club, the beer community's hangout in the Red Bank district, ten minutes' walk from Piccadilly. The 2027 edition is expected from Thursday 21 to Saturday 23 January (dates to be confirmed by the organiser, following the Thursday-to-Saturday pattern of recent years). The formula is as simple as it is generous: more than thirty guest taps lining up the most sought-after independent British breweries — imperial stouts, barley wines, winter IPAs and a few alcohol-free pours for Dry January converts — plus pop-up brewery bars, good food and a warm club atmosphere under the brickwork. Entry costs around £5 with a souvenir glass, one of the most affordable tickets on England's craft scene. The perfect way to switch January back on. Tickets and updates on the official website, and plan your beer trip with beBeer.
