Wandsworth Common Great Beer & Cider Festival, London
05/08/2026 10:00 John Archer Way, SW18 2TR Londres, Royaume-Uni
About this event
For decades, the first week of August in Britain meant CAMRA's Great British Beer Festival. In 2026 that fixture is absent: the organisers announced the festival would not run, citing visitor numbers and costs. Into that gap steps the Wandsworth Common Great Beer & Cider Summer Festival, running from 5 to 8 August 2026 at the Royal Victoria Patriotic Building, a Gothic revival landmark in south-west London with a striking barrel-vaulted hall. Around 150 beers and ciders from across the United Kingdom are on the bars, with live music and an all-day barbecue. The Wednesday session runs from 18:00 to 23:00, with Thursday through Saturday opening at 13:00. The organisers are explicit that the festival is intended to fill the space left by the Olympia event. For visitors who had August in London pencilled in for beer, the diary need not change.
