About this event
Cyprus is not the first island that comes to mind for beer, yet its brewing history runs back to the nineteenth century and its summer festivals draw crowds that any northern European town would envy. The Pafos Beer Festival returns from 5 to 9 August 2026, one of two established Cypriot events alongside MEDFEST in Limassol. Held in the evenings, when the August heat finally releases its grip, it combines Cypriot and imported beers with live music and food stalls in a format that owes as much to the Mediterranean summer panigyri as to central European beer culture. Paphos itself is a UNESCO World Heritage site, its Roman mosaics and archaeological park sitting a short walk from the harbour. Visitors combining the festival with the town's ancient sites will find the pace comfortably slow. Dates have held steady in early August across recent years.
