Merchant Adventurers’ Charity Beer Festival 2026

The Merchant Adventurers’ Charity Beer Festival takes place in one of Europe’s most remarkable medieval halls: York’s Merchant Adventurers’ Hall, a 14th-century gem. On 3 and 4 July 2026, spread over four sessions, the event will feature beers, ales, lagers and ciders from over thirty breweries, in an exceptional historic setting. The garden will host the YO1 Radio music stage and a fine selection of street food to accompany the tastings. As well as being a fun event, this year’s festival aims to raise £25,000 for the Merchant Adventurers’ Trust, funding free school visits for over 1,400 schoolchildren in York, a youth enterprise programme and apprenticeship grants. A rare opportunity to combine medieval heritage, charitable commitment and a taste of brewing, this intimate summer festival is an ideal stop-off during a stay in Yorkshire’s beautiful walled city.
