Just a stone’s throw from the NDSM ferry, every summer Oedipus Brewery transforms its little island on the IJ into one of the most laid-back craft beer events in the Netherlands. From 1 to 5 July 2026, Homeland brings together a selection of Dutch and international breweries, collaboration beers brewed especially for the occasion, and a music line-up featuring local DJs on this leafy islet in Amsterdam-Noord. People come here just as much to sample fresh IPAs, seasonal beers and sour beers as for the waterside atmosphere: deckchairs, swimming, street food and sunsets over the harbour. The event is spread over several sessions throughout the week, each with its own selection of draught beers, making it an ideal stop on a beer-themed city break in Amsterdam.
