Craft Brew Festival Wakefield 2026: "A Hoppy Christmas Party" at Tileyard North (date TBC)

Britain's young festival scene has its disruptor: Craft Brew Festival, the Manchester-based collective that has been reinventing the beer festival as a five-hour party since 2023 — 14 festivals and more than 15,000 tickets sold in 2025 alone. To close the year, its Christmas tour "A Hoppy Christmas Party" is expected in Wakefield on Saturday 12 December 2026 (date to be confirmed by the organiser), in the Carding Shed at Tileyard North, a restored complex of Grade II listed Victorian mills on the River Calder, next door to the Hepworth gallery. The formula is radical: one single ticket, then more than 50 craft beers to taste freely from fifteen of the UK's most exciting breweries — half-pints, thirds or sample pours, as you like — plus meet-the-brewer sessions, a live band, games, confetti cannons and, season oblige, tinsel and Christmas classics. Ciders, wines and alcohol-free options round things out for companions, but beer remains the undisputed star. An 18+ event, fully accessible, from 1pm to 6pm.
