Brugs BierFestival 2026: 350 Beers in the Heart of Bruges

Bruges wears its beer heritage on every cobblestone, and each September the city gives it a stage. On 12 and 13 September 2026, the Brugs BierFestival returns for its 18th edition at the BMCC on the Beursplein, a few minutes' walk from the Markt. Organised by BAB, the Bruges beer tasters' association, the festival gathers around 50 breweries and beer firms pouring some 350 different beers — from Trappist classics and lambic to the newest wave of Flemish craft. Entry is free: you simply pick up a tasting pack, either the Big Time presale pack (35 euros for 10 BABcoins, the festival booklet and the exclusive 15 cl BAB glass, with fast-lane access) or the Little Sips pack at the venue (14.50 euros, 2 BABcoins and the glass). Doors open Saturday from 14:00 until midnight and Sunday from 12:00 to 20:00, according to the city's tourist office. Brewers pour their own beers and love to talk about them, so take your time, taste in moderation, and let the UNESCO-listed old town round off the weekend.
