Brewskival: Sweden's craft beer festival by the Øresund

Brewski is one of the Swedish breweries that made the country's name in international craft circles, working out of Helsingborg in the far south of Scania, twenty minutes by ferry from Denmark. Brewskival, its own festival, runs from 28 to 30 August 2026 and has become a fixture of the late-summer European calendar, drawing invited breweries from across the continent and beyond. Sweden's beer scene developed under the shadow of Systembolaget, the state alcohol monopoly, which shaped how beer reaches drinkers and gave brewery festivals a particular importance as a place to taste beers not otherwise easily found. Helsingborg faces Helsingør across the Øresund, with Kronborg castle visible on the Danish side, so the festival pairs naturally with a Copenhagen or Malmö trip.
