Biella lies at the foot of the Alps in northern Piedmont, a wool town whose industrial museums sit alongside the Sacro Monte sanctuary of Oropa. For nine days it becomes Italy's capital of craft beer. The eleventh edition of Bolle di Malto runs from 30 August to 7 September 2026, with more than a hundred events, fifty craft breweries across the town squares and the Salone Italiano della Birra, twenty street kitchens from across Italy, and a village of local Pro Loco associations. Tastings sit alongside concerts, masterclasses, show cooking, visits to company museums, outdoor activities and inclusion projects. Founded in 2015, the festival was named Italy's best food and wine event at TTG Travel Experience in 2024. From 3 to 7 September, Bolle ON turns the historic centre into an open-air festival.
