Berlin Beer Week: Craft, Cruises and Tap Takeovers

Three weeks after the Karl-Marx-Allee empties, Berlin's other beer event begins. Berlin Beer Week runs from 28 August to 6 September 2026, and where the Bierfestival is a single boulevard, this is a dispersed programme across the city: opening and closing parties, international tap takeovers, beer and food pairings and live music. Its distinctive element is the Brews Cruises, six boat trips on the Spree across two weekends, each pouring more than twenty-five beers from Berlin, Germany and further afield while the city passes on either bank. The 2026 line-up includes a collaboration cruise built around joint brews between international brewing teams, and a North American edition. Berlin has positioned itself as Germany's craft beer capital, a claim that would have seemed improbable twenty years ago in the country of the Reinheitsgebot. More information: https://beerweek.de/
