Belgrade Beer Fest: Southeast Europe's Biggest Party

Founded in 2003, Belgrade Beer Fest has become the largest event of its kind in south-eastern Europe, staged on the plateau at Ušće where the Sava flows into the Danube, with the city on one bank and New Belgrade on the other. Over its history more than four and a half million people have passed through, watching upwards of 450 bands while sampling some ninety beer brands. One detail is widely misreported: the festival has not been simply free since 2023. Access to the park is open before roughly 19:30, after which an evening ticket is required, though that ticket then includes unlimited beer for the night rather than charging per drink. Several listings give 28 to 31 August 2026, but at the time of writing the organiser's own site had not published confirmed dates, so verification before travelling is essential.
