Breweries on the map
Carlsberg Sverige AB
In Falkenberg, in Halland, Carlsberg Sweden represents the industrial side of the Swedish brewing landscape, with widely distributed brands but stylistic profiles that remain clearly distinguishable. Falcon Export, a pale lager at 5.2% ABV, offers notes of bread, herbs, tropical fruits and honey, with a firm bitterness; Carnegie Porter is available, notably, in a 3.5% ABV version based on a dark Baltic porter; Falcon Bayerskt, for its part, falls within a more malty lager tradition. Here, the technique aims for absolute consistency: clean fermentation, sensory stability and precise calibration, in a high-volume production approach where consistency takes precedence over experimentation.
Krönleins Bryggeri AB
In Halmstad, in Halland, Krönleins represents another great Swedish tradition: that of widely available lagers, characterised by impeccable technical discipline. Three Hearts Premium Lager is 5.2 per cent ABV with a malty profile of white bread, honey and citrus zest; Stockholm Fine Festival Beer is available at 5.3 per cent ABV, a pale lager designed for straightforward, simple drinkability; the Three Hearts brand remains the historic heart of the range. Here, sophistication is evident not so much in the exoticism of the ingredients as in consistency: clean fermentation, a stable bittersweet balance, controlled carbonation and a profile tailored to appeal to the widest possible audience without becoming bland.
