Atmos Brewing
Atmos Brewing is a Tampere microbrewery that styles itself as a hub of the city's urban beer culture. At its taproom in the Tammela district, housed in the historic PMK-talo, you can taste fresh craft beers brewed just metres from the taps, in a warm, living-room-like setting. The house blends modern recipes with a community spirit, and also serves quality coffee, tasting flights and, every week, DJ sets and live music. Atmos runs brewery tours too (up to 25 people) and a beer shop where you can pick up cans and one-litre growlers to take home.
Kaleva Brewing Company
Kaleva Brewing Company is a small neighbourhood brewery founded in autumn 2016 in the Kaleva district of Tampere. The project brings together a Tampere trio with deep restaurant and microbrewery experience — Juha Kannisto, restaurateur of Public House Huurre, Juha Sorsa, named Finland's Beer Master of the Year in 2014, and Mika Koro. The brewery shares its building with Public House Huurre, which serves as its taproom and shop. The focus is on classic styles done with care, alongside more experimental brews, with labels designed as small works of art. House beers include the Bloomy Boomy APA, the Fat Barber Bock and the Mellow Fellow Milk Stout. The beers are also stocked in selected shops across the Pirkanmaa region.
Mad Finn
Mad Finn Brewing Co. is a Finnish craft brewery that opened its first site in the Pyynikin Trikoo district of Tampere in July 2022. Its activity now centres on its brewery bar in Ylöjärvi, where you can enjoy craft beers, meals and pizza alongside a regular run of events. The brand draws its roots from Finnish culture: resilience, honest work, local pure water and the changing beauty of the seasons inspire every batch. In 2025, the Trikoo site became a distillery producing Mad Finn's own gin, vodka, rum, bourbon and whisky. The house offers guided brewery tours (with a tasting) and distillery tours in Tampere.
Oluthone
Oluthuone Panimomestari is an English-style beer bar that has been running in Tampere since 1996, known as a leading address for beer and good company. Its 17 taps pour a particularly wide range of Koskipanimo products, such as Plevna Vaalea Pils, Bock, Vehnä (wheat), Siperia and apple cider, alongside many rotating seasonals; the Kippari is on tap only here. The house pays special attention to serving beer at the right temperature. Set near the cathedral, it is open daily from noon to 2 a.m., and Plevna's cold beers can also be bought to take away until 9 p.m. Admission for ages 20 and over.
Plevna ja Koskipanimo
Panimoravintola Plevna is Tampere's only true brewpub, running since 1994 in the historic Finlayson mill district, a stone's throw from the central square. Its hall evokes the beer cellars and halls of Central Europe, with staff in traditional dress. At its heart, the Koskipanimo brewery carries on Tampere's brewing tradition and makes more than twenty products — beers, cider and brewery mead (sima) — plus several seasonal and special batches each year. You can dine, have lunch, enjoy the terrace, and buy the products at the adjoining shop or online. Brewery tours include a five-beer tasting.
Pyynikin Brewhouse
Pyynikin Brewhouse is the restaurant of Pyynikin Craft Brewery in Tampere, with two locations: Tampere and Jyväskylä (in the Kolmikulma district). Its motto, "passion for beer and bold food," captures the spirit of the place: nearly 20 beers on tap from breweries around the world, backed by a wide selection in bottle and can, plus ciders and long drinks. The menu is built to match, with beer playing a central role both in the cooking and at the table. In summer, it can all be enjoyed on one of the best terraces in Tampere and Jyväskylä. Beer tastings are also on offer.
