About this brewery
Kaleva Brewing Company is a small neighbourhood brewery founded in autumn 2016 in the Kaleva district of Tampere. The project brings together a Tampere trio with deep restaurant and microbrewery experience — Juha Kannisto, restaurateur of Public House Huurre, Juha Sorsa, named Finland's Beer Master of the Year in 2014, and Mika Koro. The brewery shares its building with Public House Huurre, which serves as its taproom and shop. The focus is on classic styles done with care, alongside more experimental brews, with labels designed as small works of art. House beers include the Bloomy Boomy APA, the Fat Barber Bock and the Mellow Fellow Milk Stout. The beers are also stocked in selected shops across the Pirkanmaa region.
