About this brewery
Founded in 2017 by a band of Latvian "craft beer geeks", Ārpus — "outside" — wears its name well: outside mass-made lagers, outside the beaten track, outside borders. From its 20-hectolitre brewery on the edge of Riga, it turns out at a relentless pace juicy hazy IPAs, fruited sours and massive imperial stouts, packaged in 440 ml cans and KeyKegs shipped across Europe. The drinkers' verdict is final: the house sits atop Latvia's Untappd rankings, alongside the Tree Houses and Other Halves of this world. The spearhead of the hopped-up Baltic, a collector's item and fervent currency among the continent's beer geeks.
