For nearly half a century, the Norwich Beer Festival has been a highlight of the East Anglian autumn, and its 47th edition in 2026 continues a much-loved tradition. Held in the magnificent medieval surroundings of St Andrew's and Blackfriars' Halls, a former friary in the heart of the city, it is as celebrated for its atmosphere as for its beer. Organised by Norwich & District CAMRA, the festival runs from Monday 26 to Saturday 31 October, offering a huge and carefully chosen range of cask ales, ciders and perries, with a strong showing from Norfolk's own breweries alongside guests from across the country. The soaring halls, the buzz of conversation and the sheer scale of the choice make it one of the region's essential beer events. Volunteers pour with real knowledge and enthusiasm, food is on hand, and the welcoming crowd spans dedicated aficionados and first-time visitors alike.
