The Trnava Region borders Austria, the Czech Republic and Hungary, as well as the Bratislava, Trenčín and Nitra regions. Its capital is Trnava, and it has 7 districts over about 4,100 km². The Little Carpathians (Malé Karpaty) and the Danube lie along its edges.
