Västmanland

Västmanland is a county (län) in east-central Sweden, on Lake Mälaren, bordering Södermanland, Örebro, Dalarna, Gävleborg and Uppsala. It has about 281,000 inhabitants (2024); its seat is Västerås. It includes the Engelsberg Ironworks, a UNESCO site.
