Jönköping is a landlocked county (län) in southern Sweden, bordering Halland, Västra Götaland, Östergötland, Kalmar and Kronoberg. It has about 370,000 inhabitants according to Statistics Sweden (2024); its seat is Jönköping, at the southern tip of Lake Vättern.

Idlewild Brewing Company In Jönköping, Idlewild operates as a vibrant brewpub where a rapid rotation of recipes is part of the concept. The brewery claims to have produced over 200 recipes since opening in 2016. Among the well-documented offerings, Lager Lager Lager comes in at 5% ABV and 22 IBU, a pale and crisp brew; Sound City goes up to 7% ABV and 65 IBU in a livelier West Coast IPA; Red Zeppelin, a 6 per cent red ale, is brewed with English hops; Event Horizon plays the hazy card at 6.5 per cent.
