Alentejo

Alentejo is a region of southern Portugal that borders the Algarve, the Centro region and Spain (Extremadura and Andalusia), with a coast on the Atlantic Ocean. It has four sub-regions: Alentejo Litoral, Alto Alentejo, Alentejo Central and Baixo Alentejo. The Historic Centre of Évora (UNESCO) is located there.
