Pomeranian Voivodeship lies in northern Poland on the Baltic Sea and adjoins the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship. Its capital is Gdańsk; it dates from 1999 and has 20 counties (powiats). The Vistula reaches the sea there, and Słowiński National Park lies along the coast.
