Opole Voivodeship borders the Czech Republic and the voivodeships of Lower Silesia, Greater Poland, Łódź and Silesia. Its capital is Opole, and it has 12 counties (powiats) over about 9,400 km². The Oder (Odra) flows through it, and Saint Anne Mountain (Góra Świętej Anny) rises there.
