Virovitica is the seat of Virovitica-Podravina County, in north-eastern Croatia, which has 3 towns (Virovitica, Slatina and Orahovica) and 13 municipalities. It lies around the Drava, whose drainage basin is called Podravina, and adjoins Koprivnica-Križevci, Bjelovar-Bilogora and Požega-Slavonia counties.
