Shropshire is a ceremonial county in the West Midlands of England, bordering Cheshire, Staffordshire and Wales. It has about 530,000 inhabitants, including Telford and Wrekin; its county town is Shrewsbury. It includes the Ironbridge Gorge, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
