Ostrobothnia

Ostrobothnia (Pohjanmaa) is a region of western Finland, on the Gulf of Bothnia, bordering Central Ostrobothnia, South Ostrobothnia and Satakunta. It has about 179,000 inhabitants (Statistics Finland, 2024); its capital is Vaasa. It includes the Kvarken Archipelago, a UNESCO site.
