Hailodon panimo
On the island of Hailuoto, off Oulu in the Gulf of Bothnia, Hailuodon Panimo is a craft organic brewery making unfiltered, German-style beers. Brewed with the island's pure groundwater and locally grown organic malting barley, the beers contain no preservatives or additives. The range spans pilsner and altbier through märzen, wheat beer, gose and Berliner Weisse. Set in a former granary, the brewery houses a pub and a shop, runs guided tours, and hosts everything from gigs to beer yoga. It takes part in Oulu2026, European Capital of Culture.
