Lapland

Lapland (Lappi) is the northernmost region of Finland, on the northern Gulf of Bothnia, bordering Sweden, Norway, Russia and Northern Ostrobothnia. It has about 176,000 inhabitants (Statistics Finland, 2024); its capital is Rovaniemi. It includes points of the Struve Geodetic Arc, a UNESCO site.
