Kymenlaakso

Kymenlaakso is a region of south-eastern Finland, on the Gulf of Finland, bordering Uusimaa, Päijät-Häme, Southern Savo, South Karelia and Russia. It has about 157,000 inhabitants (Statistics Finland, 2024); its capital is Kotka. It includes the Verla Groundwood and Board Mill, a UNESCO site.
