Ticino

Ticino is an Italian-speaking canton in southern Switzerland, bordering Valais, Uri, Graubünden and Italy. It has about 360,000 inhabitants on 2,812 km²; its capital is Bellinzona. It includes the Swiss shores of Lake Maggiore and Lake Lugano and the three castles of Bellinzona, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
