The Eel’s Foot Inn

On the road to nowhere but reedbeds, shingle and bird hides, The Eel’s Foot is a pub that rewards deliberate travel. From the A12 take the Leiston/Saxmundham route, then follow signs towards Theberton and Eastbridge; the final road is narrow, flat and atmospheric, with marsh and heath close by. Parking is available, but public transport is poor and taxis should be arranged before the first pint.
