Sculthorpe Mill

Beside the Wensum, where water, willow and old brick do most of the scene-setting, Sculthorpe Mill is the sort of inn that makes a detour feel rational. Drivers usually arrive from the A148 or A1065 through Fakenham, then slip onto the quieter local road towards Sculthorpe; the final yards are rural, low-key and easy to overshoot in poor light. Parking is on site but finite, and the nearest mainline rail choices are not close, making a car or pre-booked taxi the sensible option.
